Five Organizations Worth Knowing This Earth Day

There's nothing like getting out with your community for a trash cleanup or tree planting on Earth Day. This year, I also want to point you to some of my favourite local organizations that do environmental work year round:

Nature Trust of New Brunswick — protecting natural areas across the province through land conservation and stewardship

Conservation Council of New Brunswick — policy, advocacy, and public education on environmental issues

Nashwaak Watershed Association — protecting and restoring the Nashwaak River watershed

The Gaia Project — bringing climate and sustainability education into New Brunswick schools

Fredericton Botanic Garden Association —maintaining almost 20 different gardens in Odell Park, right on the edge of Ward 10

If you’re looking for a way to mark the day that lasts longer than an afternoon, why not check them out!
