What about bikes & trails?

Trails and active transportation are popular in ward 10. Many of us choose to live here exactly because we value a vibrant, healthy community with access to downtown, school, work, and recreation.

Surprisingly often, people ask me, “So do you know anything about bikes and trails?” Not being a natural politician, I tend to understatement. So here’s a brief summary:

• currently an elected director of Cycling Canada

• 8 years leading the provincial cycling organization, Velo NB

• 5 years as executive director of the local club, River Valley Cycling

• I once won a cycling national championship

• so great is my enthusiasm for active transportation that people are often surprised to learn I can drive.
