Who are the candidates?

This morning I was asked what makes me stand out from other candidates running in my riding and below you will find my answer word for word from the Ward 10, Fredericton group.

"My answer would be that the best information about people’s real priorities and their ability to be effective on council is what they have already done and what people say about working with them. None of us sprang into existence this time last year with nothing but a platform and a campaign manager, so why rely just on that. For the 20 years I’ve lived here, I’ve been active in affordable housing, cycling and trails organizations, and environmental initiatives - as often in leadership as getting my hands dirty e.g. planting trees. Re ability to be effective, I’ve got the kind of law, engagement, policy, and governance experience that’s useful if you enjoy transparency and accountability and structural solutions and partnerships. I’ve worked on these issues, already understand some of the landscape and solutions and have the tools to expand on that."

At heart I am a doer and an action taker, whether it be in my personal accomplishments, my professional life, or my adventures.
