Heritage & Development

A surprising number of neighbours remember the summer I scraped all the paint off my house rather than replace the 100-year-old wood siding. What can we learn from this questionable feat of tenacity, thrift, inventiveness, and daring?

Fredericton’s built heritage is a key element of its special character. At the same time, as the city grows so does demand for development. If elected to city council, I’ll support an approach to planning and development that preserves the best of our natural built heritage; encourages appropriate revitalization and modernization and sustainable, well-designed development; is predictable for developers; and follows a plan that is transparent and accessible to citizens.
